My story with technology starts with drones, out of Lugo, in Galicia. At ProtoSky I designed prototypes with digital avionics, custom electronics and computer vision, so that a small machine could make sense of what was beneath it. It was my first real engineering school, the kind you learn by testing things and breaking them.
Along the way I spent time in the Spanish Army, in teaching and in technical inspection. Different trades, and they all taught me the same thing. You have to be able to explain why something works, or why it doesn’t, without hiding behind jargon.
Curiosity gradually pulled me towards research in artificial intelligence and quantum computing, first at Neovolt Dynamics and at TNV CodeLab. Today I am Research AI Engineer · Critical Infrastructure & Quantum Systems at Ineco, where I lead the INECO Engineering Team, a first-rate team in which we research, develop and put into service technology for Spain’s critical infrastructure. The underlying question is nearly always the same, how to decide well about a power grid, a port or a city when nobody fully knows what is going to happen.
Outside that, I write books, build QUANTA, an open-hardware physical entropy generator, and work with Mednight Europe on science outreach. I show my work with its broken versions included, because they are part of the work too.
This website is my open notebook. Every week I leave a new piece of writing here, in Spanish, along with ongoing experiments, the ones I abandoned and whatever I finish.
The opinions I publish here are my own and do not represent Ineco.
